COVID 19 update Russian girl spotted amid lockdown in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Amid lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, a Russian girl was spotted in Guwahati. The girl has been identified as Amina and she was spotted at a bus shelter in Christian Basti area. A police officer later informed that she and her boyfriend were staying at Hotel Bandana at Paltan Bazar. It is important to note that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced nationwide three weeks lockdown starting from Tuesday midnight. In view of the current situation, the nationwide complete lockdown will be in place for 21 days — three weeks.

GUWAHATI: Amid lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, a Russian girl was spotted in Guwahati. The girl has been identified as Amina and she was spotted at a bus shelter in Christian Basti area. A Paltan Bazaar police team spotted her. A police officer later informed that she and her boyfriend were staying at Hotel Bandana at Paltan Bazar. According to reports, she had a fight with her boyfriend, which is why she had left the hotel. She had arrived with her boyfriend in the city five days ago from Ahmedabad. They had home quarantine stamps and were not permitted to roam around. Amina has now been shifted to the isolation ward of Contour Hotel. Her boyfriend has also been asked to do join her. It is important to note that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced nationwide three weeks lockdown starting from Tuesday midnight. All States and Union Territories will come under its purview. Stating that “the next 21 days will be very crucial for India”, the Prime Minister added in a live telecast on Tuesday night, “We are taking all steps to ensure continuous supply of essential commodities. In view of the current situation, the nationwide complete lockdown will be in place for 21 days — three weeks. Today India is at the stage where our actions today will decide that to what extent we can bring down the impact of this disaster. This is the time to strengthen our resolve again and again. He said this is an essential step to fight coronavirus decisively. He added that saving lives is priority as of now.
