Scribe killed in a road accident at Guwahati

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: A female journalist named Dimpi Baishya (22) lost her life in an accident, in Guwahati on Monday. According to sources Baishya lost control of her scooter and rammed into an electric post in Sundarpur area. She was heading to her residence in Beltola from her office and her colleague was riding pillion, who sustained injuries. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Guwahati Press Club, Assam Press Correspondents' Union (APCU), Young Journalists Forum expressed grief for her sudden demise. STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: A female journalist named Dimpi Baishya (22) lost her life in an accident, in Guwahati on Monday. According to sources Baishya lost control of her scooter and rammed into an electric post in Sundarpur area. She was heading to her residence in Beltola from her office and her colleague was riding pillion, who sustained injuries. She was admitted to the Apollo Hospital; however, she succumbed to her injuries at around 11:30 PM. Her chest was severely injured and her colleague also received similar injuries. He is now out of danger and has been shifted to a cabin from ICU. Dimpi completed her graduation from Handique Girls College. After pursuing PG Diploma in the Department of Mass Communication Journalism and Media Studies at Cotton University she was working for a news web portal. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Guwahati Press Club, Assam Press Correspondents Union (APCU), Young Journalists Forum expressed grief for her sudden demise.
