But CID could not detain the former Assam Police officer because he escaped along with his family members before the CID can caught him.
The written test got leaked through social media it was scheduled on September 20, and had to be cancelled before the examination. CID wing of Assam Police questioned Assam BJP leader Diban Deka for his involvement in the leakage of question paper.
Three persons have been picked up for questioning in the case they are Kushal Das, who has been detained from Bamundi in Kamrup Rural, Sanjib Sarma from Noonmati in Guwahati and Dipjyoti Bora from Kheroni in Karbi Anglong district.
The Crime Branch of Assam Police on Wednesday raided Thank You Lodge at Ganeshguri in Guwahati and detained 4 owners of the lodge including Alakesh Baishya, Pranjal Sarma, Bimal Thapa and Pranab Bora.
A circle secretly conducted written test for the posts of SI in Assam Police in Thank You Lodge as per report. 50 candidates sat in the written test on September 19, a day ahead of the actual date of the test.Hand-written question paper has been recovered from the lodge. Crime Branch seized computer hard disk, blackboard and some other items after raiding the lodge.
