Event Management Association of Assam (EMAA), an autonomous body of companies launched in Guwahati

An autonomous Event Management Association of Assam (EMAA), body of companies, institutions and professionals operating within the events and experiential marketing industry was launched on Sunday in Guwahati.

An autonomous Event Management Association of Assam (EMAA), body of companies, institutions and professionals operating within the events and experiential marketing industry was launched on Sunday in Guwahati.

The inaugural committee of the association will have Manash Kumar Sharma of Systems and Services as its president, Champak Das of Aryans Events Solution as its general secretary and Abhay Kumar Barjatiya of Grand Affairs Pvt. Ltd as its treasurer.

EMAA’s launch marks the dawn of a new era and the evolvement of the event industry over the years in Assam.

The idea to form this association is the realization that the industry needed to have a unified voice in the conversation

Besides this, the committee will have an adviser, joint Secretary, zonal secretary, publicity secretary for running its affairs.

EMAA purpose  is to bring together the event industry/fraternity of Assam and subsequently the northeast at a regional and national level.

Promoting the industry, advocating for public and private policies, organizing training, offering specialist advice and information dissemination and providing networking opportunities for members are primary activities of the association.

EMAA will play an increasingly significant role in professional support to the industry by ensuring the continued growth and success of event management professional.

“The event industry today is a driver of our economy and offers the primary solution to create jobs. EMAA has over 40 members across the length and breadth of Assam and each contributing to a thousand jobs in the sector.” stated a press release.

Press release added, “Many of our member companies works in the rural sector providing the last mile connectivity between the government sectors and the people.”  

Event industry in Assam is also undergoing important transformation by becoming a partner in the development of Assam and not just remaining the organizer of celebration and parties.
