Police had arrested two alleged drug traffickers and seized 13 grams of brown sugar from them at Chapar in Western Assam’s Dhubri district.
Police had arrested two alleged drug traffickers and seized 13 grams of brown sugar from them at Chapar in Western Assam’s Dhubri district.
Team of Dhubri police set up a naka (checkpoint) in front of Chapar police station and seized 13 grams of brown sugar from a vehicle bearing registration No AS 17 J 5150 (Maruti Dezire) and arrested two drug trafficker late at night on Thursday.
Arrested were Jonmoni Das, a resident of Satyapur village and Rahmat Ali Ahmed of Rowmari village under Chapar police station of the district. There was specific information about the transporting of brown sugar consignment and accordingly a search operation was initiated, said a police official.
