BJP likely to retain Assam: Exit polls released

Exit polls of West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry assembly elections were released on Thursday. In the survey of ABP-C voters, Mamta government is once again coming to West Bengal.

Elections were held in Assam in three phases. The state has 126 assembly seats and is currently ruled by the BJP. The party had given full force in the elections. It faced a challenge of 8 parties, including Congress. The BJP also contested the elections with two allies.

Axis My India Survey
According to the exit poll of India Today-Axis My India, out of 126 seats in Assam, BJP + can get 75 to 85 and Congress can get 40-50 seats. Others may have 1-4 seats on their account.

The Manorama News-VMR exit poll also predicted the same numbers of seats for the ruling and opposition alliances.

The P-MARQ exit poll says the grand alliance might win 56-64 seats. The BJP is likely to get 62-70 seats.
