Assam Board Exams 2021: Class 10th, 12th board exams postponed

The Assam class 10th and 12th board examinations have been postponed until further orders in view of the massive surge in Covid-19 cases in the state. The board exams of class 10th (HSLC) and class 12th (HS) were scheduled to begin on May 11, but now these examinations have been postponed.

The notification issued by Suranjana Senapati, Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) stated, "In view of the current situation of Covid-19 in the state of Assam, the decision to postpone HSLC / AHM Exam 2021 starting May 11, 2021, has been taken."

The statement further said the revised dates of these examinations will be announced soon after consulting the state health department.

According to the official notice, The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has been decided to postpone the 10th exam scheduled to be held from 11 May 2021 and the proposed 12th board exam 2021 from 12 May.

Earlier, practical examinations of class 10th have been held on 4 and 5 March at many examination centres across the state.
