Tea garden turns Covid-19 hotspot with 133 cases in Assam's Dibrugarh

133 people have tested positive for Covid-19 at Jaloni Tea Estate in Assam`s Dibrugarh district.

The second wave of Covid-19 in the country is not showing any signs of slowing down. More than 4 lakh fresh cases of Covid-19 are being reported in India every day; meanwhile, shocking news has emerged from the tea gardens of Assam.

133 people have tested positive for Covid-19 at Jaloni Tea Estate in Assam`s Dibrugarh district. There is an outcry and panic in the area after the news came to light. The entire area of ​​the tea estate has been sealed.

Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha has said that 133 new Covid-19 cases have been reported at the Jaloni Tea Estate in Assam. The tea garden has been declared a containment zone.

Assam currently has 31,262 active cases of Covid-19, while 1485 people have succumbed to the virus in the state. The total number of recovered patients has reached 2,40,004 in the state.
