Assam doctors dance to Hindi, Bangla songs to cheer patients

A group of doctors and healthcare workers in a hospital in Assam used dance as a tool to cheer up Covid-19 affected patients.
Agroup of doctors and healthcare workers tried to cheer up patients at a Covid-19 ward in a hospital in Assam’s Silchar by dancing to Bangla and Hindi songs. The videos of the healthcare workers dancing with the patients have gone crazy viral on social media.
The healthcare professionals of SM Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar in Assam’s Cachar district used dance as a tool to cheer up the patients affected with Covid-19.
In the videos which have now gone viral, few doctors and health workers of the government-run hospital were seen in their PPE suits dancing with the patients. The patients and healthcare workers were seen swaying to the song Hum Honge Kamyab. They were also seen performing Dhamail - a popular folk dance in the Barak Valley region. The team of doctors and healthcare professionals was led by Dr Juri Sarma.
India reported 1,00,636 new Covid-19 cases and 2,427 deaths on Monday, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
