All the members including the newly formed militant organization National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB) chief M. Batha have surrendered today.

After the signing of the third Bodo Peace Accord in January 2020, some disgruntled cadres of the NDFB led by M Batha returned to the jungle and formed this organization. This organization has been most active in the Bodoland Territorial Area (BTR).

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam CM) informed in a statement saying that all NLFB members will return to the mainstream later in the day.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted a video of the NLFB cadres on Thursday.

The militant organization formed the NLFB in 2020 by making a base in the dense forests of the Bodoland Autonomous Region. The extremist organization is facing several charges of extortion and killings in Bodoland and surrounding areas.
