Home minister Amit Shah to begin 2-day Northeast visit from tomorrow

Amit Shah will be accompanied by Union Minister of State (Ind Charge) Science & Tech Jitendra Singh and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy.

Home Minister Amit Shah is going to Assam on his two-day visit from July 24. Shah will meet chief ministers, chief secretaries and director generals of police of all eight northeastern states in Shillong on Saturday and discuss various issues including law and order and the COVID-19 situation.

Amit Shah will be accompanied by Union Minister of State (Ind Charge) Science & Tech Jitendra Singh and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy.

The trip was scheduled a week earlier but it was postponed due to some reasons.

During his two-day visit to Meghalaya, Shah will inaugurate Cryogenic Oxygen Plant at Umsawli, Inter-State Bus Terminus at Mawyong, Afforestation Project at Wahari in Sohra, Greater Sohra Water Supply Scheme at Khalihshnong and before leaving for Guwahati on Sunday Will visit the Assam Rifles Headquarters in Shillong.

He will also visit the Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Devi Temple located in Guwahati, Assam.
