GUWAHATI: Nagaland chief minister Shurhozelie Liezietsu on Wednesday advocated political integration of all tribals of the region under the umbrella of Naga People's Front (NPF) and said territorial integration of Naga-inhabited contiguous areas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur looks like a 'difficult demand' at present.Addressing more than 200 party workers from Arunachal Pradesh at a consultative meeting at the party headquarters in Kohima on Wednesday, Liezietsu, who is also the party president, said NPF should be introduced not only to the people of all Naga-inhabited areas but also to those in all tribal areas of the region as it will be the first step towards integrating the tribals of the region. The chief minister's office said, "Citing an example, the chief minister said after introducing NPF to the people of Manipur and Arunachal, the Nagas living in the two states can now feel a sense of belongingness as one Naga family.""In Manipur, the NPF has sent four MLAs in the government and now we got recognition in the Manipur assembly too. Therefore, the Naga people of Arunachal must send their representative in the next Arunachal government," he told the party workers.
