4 of family headed for funeral killed in Athani accident

The Athani-Bannur bus collided with the vehicle near Government Hospital at Adahalli, a police officer said. Driver Gaurav Gopal Pol, 40, was also from the same village.The injured were rushed to an Athani hospital, and the condition of two persons is said to be critical. Belagavi: Four members of a family and their driver died on the spot and 13 were injured after their multi-utility vehicle collided with a KSRTC bus near a canal at Adahalli village in the district’s Athani taluk on Saturday evening.The deceased were among a group that was going to Avarkhod village in Athani taluk to attend the last rites of a family member Police said four of the deceased were from the Jadhav family of Athani taluk’s Kakamari village — Radhabai Vittal, 50, Archana Annappa, 40, Annappa Subray, 42 and Ravi Srikant, 12.
