HUBBALLI: Dalit, Alpasankyata and Hindulida Vargagala Okkoota staged a dharna in front of the tahsildar's office here on Thursday condemning the recent rapes and murder of women and children in various parts of the country.Okkoota leader Dadapeer Betageri said that while the Centre is raising the slogan ' Beti Bachao Beti Padhao ' women and children belonging to the Dalit and minority communities are raped and murdered in Kathua, Unnao, Surat, Ranchi, Etawah and Bhagalpur.It is now known what the Centre is doing to prevent such heinous crimes, he said.
