Belagavi: Different Kannada organisations are on the streets, pressuring the government not to give permission to the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) for its Black Day event on November 1 even as the state celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava The MES has been organising Black Day rallies every year since for several decades. Its activists and leaders wear black clothes and chant anti-state slogans in the rally. Some local and some leaders from Maharashtra address the activists.Kannada organisations have been opposing it.
