HUBBALLI: Hindu saints , pontiffs and seers have decided to back the BJP in the upcoming election and will not allow the Congress to come to power again at the Centre. BJP is the only party which respects the sentiments of Hindus and their efforts towards the construction of Ram Mandir are honest, said Mahamandeleshwar Akhileshwarnandgiri Swami of Jabbalpur.He was addressing a large congregation of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and other right-wing organisations at Janagraha Sabha organised by the VHP demanding the Union government to build a Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, here on Sunday evening.The swami said the BJP was doing its best to implement its promise before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and it is the Congress which is objecting the construction of the temple. The Congress and its leaders have no loyalty towards Hindus, he added.He said Ayodhya is the birthplace of Ram and “the temple should be built at the disputed land”. He also demanded the government to show political will to build the temple.Basavanand Swami of Guru Basava Mahamane said, “If the Union government brings an ordinance to build Ram temple at the disputed site, no one will oppose it as the Lok Sabha elections are fast approaching. If any party opposes, it will bite the dust. It is the right time for the NDA government to honour the sentiments of hundred crore Hindus by constructing the temple,” he said.
