Belagavi: A soldier from Belagavi district was martyred while exchanging gunfire along with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. Prakash Jadhav, 29, of Budihal village in Nippani died on the spot. Jadhav, who got married two years ago, is survived by parents, wife and a three-month-old girl. His mortal remains are likely to reach the village on Wednesday.Prakash joined the Army in 2007 and had recently celebrated Diwali with his family. Prakash last spoke to his family members and friends late on Monday.
