She was allegedly fed up by the torture of her husband’s family for giving birth to a girl child.Akshata Vidyadhar Kakatikar, a resident of Om Nagar, Khasbag is the deceased. The complaint has been registered against Akshata’s husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law. Her father Vinayak Sonar has registered a complaint in Shahapur police station alleging that Akshata was constantly tortured by her husband’s family members after she gave birth to a girl child a year ago.Akshata was from Nandigatti village in Halyal taluk of Uttar Kannada district.
