Kalaburagi: Bidar police have sounded an alert in villages in Basavakalyan taluk, bordering Maharashtra , where a gang of burglars has been targeting locked houses and farmhouses.Bidar SP Shridhar told TOI that the gang from Maharashtra, which includes women, has targeted Mudabi, Harakud, Kohinur and Ekalor villages. In Harakud, however, it failed to burgle two houses.Villagers have been told to inform police if they spot any gang. The gang recently struck three houses in Mudab and made away with 20gm gold and Rs 5,000. “The gang keeps moving from one place to another,” said Shridhar.
