Dharwad: A complaint has been registered with the District Child Protection office stating that a girl studying in class 10 was allegedly assaulted by her teacher. The incident was reported from an aided school in Dharwad The complaint states that teacher Mannasab beat up Ameena Abdulrazzaq Tahsildar and later banged her head against the wall several times. The girl reportedly sustained head injuries.Even after bringing this issue to the notice of the school principal, BEO, ZP CEO and the deputy commissioner, no action has been taken against the teacher, the victim's mother has said in her complaint. Her family members approached the Child Protection office on Thursday.Ameena is a native of Uppinbetageri. After the incident, she has developed epilepsy. As the SSLC exams are nearing, she is unable to concentrate on her studies and is facing health problems, her parents said.Ameena’s mother Hurambi Tahsildar urged officials to provide her daughter proper medical treatment as they were farm labourers and could not afford her treatment expenses.
