Lockdown Violated, more than 70 bikes seized: Karnataka

Police have been deployed in various places including Nigadi, Narendra, Haroobelavadi, Hubballi, and Amminabhavi.

With the youth continue to defy the lockdown in the wake of COVID – 19 scare and roam around freely on bikes despite a repeated appeal from all quarters, the Dharwad district police have seized more than 70 two-wheelers in the rural areas of Dharwad on Sunday.

In a release, Superintendent of Police P. Krishnakanth said, ‘The police are constantly checking against the violators of the curfew order. Inspection will be further tightened by Monday. All seized vehicles will not be returned to the owners until May 24,” the SP added.
