6-yr-old washed away in open drain in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: A six-year-old boy fell into an overflowing drain following heavy rain on Monday evening. His friends said that he got washed away in the heavy rain. Kalaburagi city received heavy rain for a couple of hours on Monday evening. Residents say many of the drains in the city have been left open and due to rain, many are overflowing. Police and fire personnel are searching for Krishna Rakesh Hatawala, a resident of Mehatar Galli in the city, who was playing with other children when his ball fell into the main drain just behind the Santrasvadi city bus stop.The boy went to collect his ball, but slipped and fell into the drain.
