The non-agricultural land in possession of farmers is 11.95 lakh acres, 84 lakh acres under water bodies, railway lines, sub-stations, hospitals, educational institutions and other government assets. He also announced that the government was also bringing a new transparent and reformed registration system with no scope for manipulation and it would be implemented from March 11. The new website would be run on the lines of Core Banking System to facilitate immediate updating of land records after every transaction. Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar has announced that the new pattadar passbooks, incorporating updated land records, will be issued in all villages across the State on a single day on March 11 and the State government will invite either the President or Prime Minister for the prestigious programme. There are about 71 lakh agricultural land accounts and they all would be given new pass books.
