ISB launches doctoral programme for executives

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has started an Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) targeted at senior industry executives with a research bent of mind. It is also ideal for business school faculty who do not possess a doctoral degree, said Rajendra Srivastava, Dean ISB in a statement here. Classes for the programme would commence in August and ISB was now accepting the applications on ‘www.isb.eduefpm.’ The three-year doctoral-level programme was designed to train such scholars who are working at the boundaries of academic and practitioner-oriented work. The programme was targeted at those with work experience of 8 years and above, possess a bachelor’s degree and have a strong interest in applied research.

Sanjay Kallapur, Deputy Dean, Faculty Review and FPM, said that students would learn rigorous research methods and hone their critical thinking skills, work closely with faculty experts across disciplines. Courses would be offered in an executive format - fifteen, three-day residencies and one residency each month. Classes for the programme would commence in August and ISB was now accepting the applications on ‘www.isb.eduefpm.’
