PM to open IT World Congress on Monday

Stage is set for inauguration of the prestigious World Congress on Information Technology and Nasscom India Leadership Forum 2018 on Monday. Being organised by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance, the event will feature over 50 content-rich sessions delivered by more than 200 global thought leaders. Chief guestUnion Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will be chief guest at the inaugural. The congress, bringing together over 2,500 participants, including visionaries, captains of industry, government leaders and academics, from over 80 countries, will be formally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video-conference at 11 am. Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad would later chair Ministers round-table on “Rethinking governance in a digital economy” being organised on themes “Artificial intelligence is the new energy”, and “Transforming industrial to software-industrial” in addition to “Future of work: technology, jobs and augmented intelligence”.

Gurnani and Wipro Limited chief strategy officer Rishad Premji, among others, will be present at the inaugural session.
