TS youngsters design a virtual cricket game

A new format of cricket developed in India launched in the presence of President Ramnath Kovind at Lucknow on Friday. “iB Cricket is gearing up for its worldwide release in April 2018. He says the product iB Cricket is well aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to facilitate home-grown companies and make India a hub for major businesses. The President played the first ball of the iB Cricket, a revolutionary virtual reality cricket sport, developed by Trivikram Reddy, an alumnus of IIT Delhi along with his friend Vasanth, an alumnus of IIIT Hyderabad. We plan to have a simultaneous launch of the product in 25 different countries given the craze for cricket.”

The President played the first ball of the iB Cricket, a revolutionary virtual reality cricket sport, developed by Trivikram Reddy, an alumnus of IIT Delhi along with his friend Vasanth, an alumnus of IIIT Hyderabad. The product was launched at the UP Investors’ Summit in Lucknow. Both the techies, who are now part of ProYuga Advanced Technologies, developed the game where every individual can feel like playing in a stadium in the virtual world after wearing a specially created headset and holding a custom-made electronic bat. The bat was released by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. The huge confidence booster was a tweet from the dashing Virendra Sehwag praising the product. “It gives the feel of playing in front of a huge crowd surrounded by players and a bowler bowling at you. One can turn around and also watch the stadium just like in a real stadium. We want to further develop it as an e-sport and not just leave it as a game,” says Trivikram, who hails from Siddipet in Telangana and was the 94th JEE ranker in 2012. “The landscape of eSports and Virtual Reality (VR) is experiencing a transformation. ProYuga is at the forefront of this change and ahead of the global market,” says Trivikram Reddy, who is now the CEO of ProYuga. He says the product iB Cricket is well aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to facilitate home-grown companies and make India a hub for major businesses. Vikram’s team claims the product is considered the most impressive VR Cricket experience and plans to open 25,000 gaming arcades across the country for people to experience it. “iB Cricket is gearing up for its worldwide release in April 2018. We plan to have a simultaneous launch of the product in 25 different countries given the craze for cricket.”
