Class X student commits suicide by hanging

The police learned about the death from the family members, who claimed they last saw M. Manish at 11.30 p.m. on Friday. A 15-year-old boy who was preparing for Class X board exams, which start next month, was found hanging at his house in Kulsumpura early on Saturday. The mother forced the door open, only to find her son hanging from the fan. No suicide note was found in the room, but the police say the mother did not mention examination stress in her complaint. According to a complaint given by the boy’s mother, Manish had been studying for the examination on Friday and decided not to go to school on Saturday.

He was also suffering from pain due to bouts of headache over the past three years. “Her son complained of severe headache on Friday. On Saturday, when she knocked on his door, there was no response,” Inspector M. Ram Mohan Rao told the media. The mother forced the door open, only to find her son hanging from the fan. The police sent the body for autopsy and are investigating the death. No suicide note was found in the room, but the police say the mother did not mention examination stress in her complaint.
