Aga Khan meets Governor

Aga Khan thanked the Government for its continuous support towards the endeavours of the Aga Khan Development Network in the region, noting that the projects played a critical role in improving the quality of life of all citizens. Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, and founder and Chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), who is on a visit to India, met Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana E.S.L. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana called on Aga Khan at his hotel. The Governor acknowledged Aga Khan’s engagement in revitalising and making accessible to the widest public, heritage sites through the conservation and restoration work at Quli Qutb Shahi Tombs. He explained to the Governor the AKDN’s emphasis on quality in the provision of education and the importance of assuring a global standard in its educational institutions.
