4 students of Minorities Residential Schools selected for NASA programme

It is heartening to note that in the history of government schools, TMREIS students will be the first to visit NASA. Syed Ibrahim, 9th class (Hayathnagar school), Mehveen Mohammedi (Golconda), Safa Maheen (Ibrahimpatnam), Feroz Hassan (Gajwel) from 8th class have been selected for attending the NASA programme. Hyderabad: 4 students of Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) will get a golden chance of interacting with astronauts, including Buzz Aldrin, the second man to step on moon’s surface after Neil Armstrong, during their visit to NASA. During the programme, they will present their project before renowned scientists and astronauts. They will leave for USA on May 23 to attend the International Space Development Conference (ISDC) being organised from May 24 to 27.

Syed Ibrahim, 9th class (Hayathnagar school), Mehveen Mohammedi (Golconda), Safa Maheen (Ibrahimpatnam), Feroz Hassan (Gajwel) from 8th class have been selected for attending the NASA programme. They will leave for USA on May 23 to attend the International Space Development Conference (ISDC) being organised from May 24 to 27. During the programme, they will present their project before renowned scientists and astronauts. As reported by the Hans India, they will later embark on a study tour of the space shuttle at one of the NASA centres at San Francisco and will also undertake a journey to Stanford University and return home on June 2. Their food, accommodation and travelling expenses which amount to Rs 2 lakh per child will be borne by the state government. It is heartening to note that in the history of government schools, TMREIS students will be the first to visit NASA.
