Police foils construction works at Gutla Begumpet, seizes vehicles

It may be mentioned that Hyderabad High Court had admonished the illegal occupants for continuing construction work on wakf land pertaining to Gutla Begumpet Masjid. Hyderabad: At Gutla Begumpet, panic prevailed on the night of 14th June when illegal occupants made an attempt to usurp wakf land pertaining to graveyard. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for 28th June at Hyderabad High Court. Wakf Board has also filed two separate contempt of court petitions in High Court. Earlier, High Court had also issued orders to maintain ‘status quo’.

Hyderabad: At Gutla Begumpet, panic prevailed on the night of 14th June when illegal occupants made an attempt to usurp wakf land pertaining to graveyard. They were dismantling graves and dumping sand. Local residents protested and foiled their attempts. They contacted the police which sent a team. Police inspected the graveyard and seized the lorries which had brought sand. It may be mentioned that Hyderabad High Court had admonished the illegal occupants for continuing construction work on wakf land pertaining to Gutla Begumpet Masjid. Earlier, High Court had also issued orders to maintain ‘status quo’. Police Madhapur directed the illegal occupants to refrain from violating court orders. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for 28th June at Hyderabad High Court. Wakf Board has also filed two separate contempt of court petitions in High Court. –Siasat News
