Bulk garbage generators told to install composting machines

Hyderabad: As per the Solid Waste management Rules, 2016, all the Bulk garbage Generators producing 50 kg and above of waste per day have to install composting machines in their premises to process the wet waste. till August 15 for all the BGGs to procure and install the compost machines. Accordingly GHMC will recognize all the organizations like Hotels, Restaurants, Function Halls, Kalyana Mandapams and Banquet Halls across the city, generating above 50 kgs of waste per day, as commercial Bulk Garbage Generators (BGGs). In this context, GHMC has sent several notices to all the Bulk Garbage generators to install on-site Compost machines in their premises and now as per the instructions of Commissioner, GHMC has set the dead line as August 15 2018, for all the BGGs to install them. For the convenience and ready reference, GHMC has published the list of all the empanelled agencies which deal with sale of all kinds of compost machines, in the GHMC website (Under Announcements).
