The Government has decided to take up a comprehensive survey to identify encroachments on the Musi River bed and the buffer zone to enumerate socio, economic and demographic details.
The entire exercise is to be completed within a month as per the direction given by Chief Secretary S.K.
Earlier, Municipal Administration Secretary Arvind Kumar informed Mr. Joshi that nine international firms had submitted plans to beautify the Musi River.
Joshi to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) and officials of other civic departments on Monday.
The Chief Secretary wanted the 61-acre tourism project proposed at the Bapu Ghat to be expedited as soon as the survey is done and encroachments are removed at the river front and embankments.
