Justice B. Sivasankara Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday posted the hearing of the contempt plea of two Congress MLAs against the Telangana government for July 27. The judge initially directed them to file counter, stating that the matter was being posted for August 3. The earlier order was clear,” the judge told the lawyer. When the petition came up for hearing, Additional Advocate-General J. Ramachandra Rao submitted to the court that he and another lawyer Sai Krishna were representing the secretaries to the Law and Legislature wings respectively. Advocate Ravi Shankar Jandhyala, counsel for MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar, presented to the judge that the government had failed to comply with the judge’s order to restore their legislative membership and de-notify the vacancy of the two MLAs’ constituencies.
