The development follows the technical glitches that had been encountered in the entry of LRUP data into the website. Mistakes were noticed in the name of Pattadar, father/husband’s name, gender, caste, Aadhaar numbers, photo mismatch, survey numbers and extent of lands. “When Pattadar’s father’s name and other corrections are made in one survey number in the Khata/account, the same is not effective in the same account in other survey numbers,” the note said. Deployment of staff with technical knowhow has been necessitated as shortage of technicians at mandal level is found to have become a major impediment in the smooth functioning of the land record updation programme (LRUP). Accordingly, it was suggested that training could be provided to revenue staff and computer operators to work effectively with the website besides addressing the poor connectivity issues.

more-in With inordinate delays plaguing the full-fledged launch of Dharani portal, conceived as one-stop shop for land-related transactions, the State government is contemplating constitution of technical teams at district level to assist the Tahsildars in speeding up rectification of errors noticed in the Pattadar Passbooks. Deployment of staff with technical knowhow has been necessitated as shortage of technicians at mandal level is found to have become a major impediment in the smooth functioning of the land record updation programme (LRUP). It is felt having separate staff trained for attending the registration-related duties without disturbing the regular work of Tahsildars would go a long way in resolving the issue. The development follows the technical glitches that had been encountered in the entry of LRUP data into the website. The mistakes, according to note prepared by the General Administration Department, crept in due to defective software while poor connectivity and low response from the server continued to hit the operations. There were no options for change in ownership and deletion of the errors while the other options too were not being updated regularly. Mistakes were noticed in the name of Pattadar, father/husband’s name, gender, caste, Aadhaar numbers, photo mismatch, survey numbers and extent of lands. There was no access to digital signature in virasat entries which is essential at the entry level while it was also opined the website was not user friendly as the Tahsildars were being asked to cast their thumb impressions for every correction that is to be made. “When Pattadar’s father’s name and other corrections are made in one survey number in the Khata/account, the same is not effective in the same account in other survey numbers,” the note said. Though the Pattadar passbooks were issued to farmers, they were unable to get Pahani or ROR 1-B either at Mee Seva or any other public domain. Accordingly, it was suggested that training could be provided to revenue staff and computer operators to work effectively with the website besides addressing the poor connectivity issues.
