Be wary of KCR's designs, Uttam tells minorities

HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has called upon minorities to be wary about the dangerous games being played out by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to win the elections at all costs.Addressing correspondents and managements of minority educational institutions at an interaction organised by AICC research department secretary in-charge of Telangana Aamer Javeed here on Monday, Uttam said KCR has opted for early polls with an eye to solicit maximum minority votes in assembly polls. "Later, KCR-led TRS and Modi-led BJP will fight the LS elections together," he said.Uttam said KCR is a friend of Modi and will implement BJP agenda. "Minorities are being dictated by BJP on what to eat and wear," he said. Stating that Congress has always been secular, he urged minorities to support the party. "Our government will ensure safety and security of minorities and their educational institutions. We will also ensure timely release of fee reimbursement and look into all demands," he said.Deletion of over 20 lakh names from electoral rolls is not incidental but a deliberate plan. He demanded elections be held only after a comprehensive voter list is prepared. "KCR and Modi have conspired to deprive lakhs of people of their voting right by advancing elections," Uttam said.
