more-in In an effort to expose the ‘poor’ quality of work, delay in execution and irregularities in the two flagship programmes of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government — Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha — BJP State executive member Dharmapuri Arvind has decided to organise a video competition “Pungi Bajao”. “This is a kind of social audit and is being conducted for the social revolution. It is not a competition for entertainment or comedy. All those who completed 18 years of age can participate in this novel contest. I will offer seven prizes — first, second and third besides four consolation prizes — for the best videos,” he said explaining the details of Pungi Bajao — symbolically blowing the bugle to alert the people. Addressing a press conference here on Friday Arvind, younger son of the TRS Rajya Sabha Member D. Srinivas, said that three tolas of gold would be presented for the best video, two tolas for the second best and one tola for the third one. Besides, four consolation prizes would also be given, he added. A five member jury — consisting of a doctor, a retired engineer, one rythu sangham president, a social worker, a woman and a senior journalist — will decide the prizes, he said adding that the sender must mention his or her name, village and mandal. In the video footage date must be visible and work site needs to be mentioned. The footage should be of a four minute length and be visually clear.
