Hyderabad: A 49-year-old wrestler is contesting against Akbaruddin Owaisi from Chandrayangutta Assembly Constituency. According to the report published in Times of India, Esa bin Obaid Misri is contesting on Congress’s ticket. Talking about the electoral battle, Mr. Esa told that it is not worrying him. To support his claim, he narrated an incident wherein he accepted a challenge from bodybuilder Gopal Pehelwan. At that time, Gopal Pehelwan’s weight was 100 kg and Esa’s weight was 70 kg only. “I accepted the challenged and defeated Gopal Pehelwan in 25 second”, he added. Talking about the reason to join politics, Mr. Misri said that his intention is to end hate speeches in the name of religion. Commenting on the current politics, he said that Raja Singh speaks against Muslims and Owaisi brothers speak against Hindus. It may be mentioned that Misri began election campaign. He is approaching people and understanding their issues. It may be noted that earlier, Mr. Misri had won the titles of Mr Hyderabad, Mr Andhra Pradesh and Mr India. In Mr Universe Competition which was held in Las Vegas in 2016, he won a silver medal.
