LS poll schedule by Feb end: Dana Kishore

Similarly Hyderabad constituency has 19,32,926 voters and 1,935 polling stations will be set up in 770 locations. Each Assembly segment will get deputy commissioners, zonal commissioners, RDOs as assistant returning officers, he added. He held a review meeting with officials and reviewed arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. As the LS polls schedule is expected in February last week or first week of March, the entire machinery has to gear up for smooth conduct of the polls, he said. He instructed the officials to plunge in poll-related arrangements from now onwards. He also asked the officials to ensure fair and free polls and make arrangements with all facilities. Hyderabad joint collector will be appointed as returning officer for Secunderabad LS constituency, while Hyderabad Collector will be be returning officer for Hyderabad constituency. Each Assembly segment will get deputy commissioners, zonal commissioners, RDOs as assistant returning officers, he added. While the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat has Malakpet, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura and Bahadurpura Assembly segments, the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency has Mushirabad, Amberpet, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanath Nagar, Nampally and Secunderabad. But the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly segment falls under Malkajgiri segment, he informed. By February 10, the total electorate in Secunderabad LS constituency is 19,14,954 and 1,809 polling stations will be located in 706 building locations. Similarly Hyderabad constituency has 19,32,926 voters and 1,935 polling stations will be set up in 770 locations. The officials found out 1,404 critical polling stations in 15 Assembly segments in Hyderabad. He asked the police to intensify the security with more personnel to ensure fair and smooth polls in sensitive areas. The officials with three years in Hyderabad and that of home district will not be deputed for poll duty.
