Hyd: Disruptions in IndiGo services continue

HYDERABAD: IndiGo Airline continued to report disruptions in its services to and from Hyderabad with at least six flights arriving into the city’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport , being cancelled on Tuesday.The sectors that were affected are: Varanasi, Bengaluru, Vadodara, Goa, Coimbatore and New Delhi.Similarly, of the four departures from RGIA – to Goa, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Coimbatore -- too were called off during the day, with many passengers complaining of being intimated at the last minute.Cancellations apart, the airline’s network also reported multiple delays in arrivals and departures on routes such as Guwahati, Chennai, Bhopal and Indore among others.While sources attributed the recent string of disruptions to a shortage of pilots available with the low-cost carrier, IndiGo maintained that it was due to the bad weather.A statement issued on Tuesday read, “IndiGo is slightly adjusting its flight schedule in the coming days by approximately 30 flights per day.
