Zakat Foundation of India helps Civil Service Aspirants

Hyderabad: Dr. Zafar Mahmood, Chairman of Zakat Foundation of India (ZFI) in a press note stated that the foundation has been extending help to the meritorious candidates appearing for Civil Services. Dr. Zafar Mahmood informed that when he was studying at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) there was no such center to help Muslim candidates. The candidates are selected on a merit basis and they are sent to various coaching centers. He further said that as a member of Sachar Committee, he felt the need to help the candidates. A plot of land admeasuring 3 acres has been acquired wherein Sir Syed coaching has been established.

So far, ZFI has helped more than 100 candidates. Twenty-six candidates have already been successful to crack this exam. Dr. Zafar Mahmood informed that when he was studying at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) there was no such center to help Muslim candidates. He further said that as a member of Sachar Committee, he felt the need to help the candidates. A plot of land admeasuring 3 acres has been acquired wherein Sir Syed coaching has been established. In the academy, food and accommodation are available. The candidates are selected on a merit basis and they are sent to various coaching centers. Source: Siasat News
