HYDERABAD: It will be a mix of old and new faces in the K Chandrasekhar Rao cabinet that will be expanded on Tuesday. Ten ministers, representing nine erstwhile districts of Telangana, will be inducted into the cabinet, while Khammam will remain unrepresented. The ministers, according to reliable sources, whose names have been finalized are A Indrakaran Reddy (Adilabad), Eatala Rajender, Koppula Eshwar (both from Karimnagar), Talasani Srinivas Yadav (Hyderabad), Vemula Prashanth Reddy (Nizamabad), S Niranjan Reddy, V Srinivas Goud (both from Mahbubnagar), Errabelli Dayakar Rao (Warangal), Ch Malla Reddy (Ranga Reddy) and G Jagadishwar Reddy (Nalgonda). Of them, Etala Rajender, Indrakaran Reddy, Srinivas Yadav and Jagadishwar Reddy were ministers in the previous cabinet too and the rest will be the first-time ministers.Names of K T Rama Rao, who was made working president of TRS and T Harish Rao, the nephew of KCR , were not included in the new ministers' list as their services are required for the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Sources said TRS supremo has assured Harish Rao that he would be taken into the cabinet in the next expansion likely to take place after the Lok Sabha polls.Chandrasekhar Rao took oath as CM on December 13, 2018 along with another minister Mohd Mahmood Ali.Though there was a speculation that one woman MLA could get a chance, mainly in the wake of criticism that there was no representation for women in the previous cabinet, no woman legislator is likely to make it to the ministry this time too.Among new ministers, going by social composition, five are from Reddy community, one each from Schedule Caste (SC) and Velama community, three are from backward castes. There will be no representation from Scheduled Tribes (ST). In the previous cabinet, Chandulal had represented the ST community, but he lost in the recent assembly elections.Sources in the TRS said the names have been finalized taking factors like political, caste and representation to districts into consideration.KCR’s old friend and MLA from Warangal, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, a Velama, got a chance as Jupally Krishna Rao, a minister in previous cabinet, lost the assembly election. Recognizing his services to TRS, KCR decided to induct Ch Malla Reddy into his cabinet. Malla Reddy is owner of several educational institutions and was elected to the assembly from Medchal constituency. In 2014-18 cabinet, there were four ministers from Greater Hyderabad. This time it will be only two. While MLC Mahmood Ali, has already been made home minister, Srinivas Yadav will be inducted on Tuesday. Another MLA from the city and former minister T Padma Rao may be made deputy speaker. Khammam was represented by Tummala Nageshwara Rao in the earlier cabinet. But he had lost the poll and the CM chose not to induct the lone TRS MLA P Ajay Kumar from there.Considering their loyalty to TRS and to him, KCR has decided to induct MLAs Vemula Prashanth Reddy, V Srinivas Goud and Niranjan Reddy. Prashanth Reddy is currently vice-chairman of Mission Bhagiratha Corporation, a cabinet rank position. He had played key role in making arrangements for Chandi Yagam, Raja Shyamala Yagam and recently conducted Ayutha Chandi Yagam by KCR at his farmhouse in Erravelli.CM reportedly called up some MLAs, especially those who were in the previous cabinet, such as Laxma Reddy and informed that they would get a chance in the next phase of expansion and some people would be given positions equivalent to cabinet rank. Koppula Eshwar, Malla Reddy and Dayakar Rao met KCR on Monday afternoon and thanked him.In view of swearing-in ceremony of council of ministers, the Hyderabad traffic police issued traffic advisory around Raj Bhavan road on Tuesday. According to a press release, the route leading from Monappa Island (Rajiv Gandhi statue) to VV statue junction will witness heavy traffic as the restrictions will be imposed from 11.30 am. The traffic congestion is expected from 10 am to 2 pm. “On need basis, the traffic will be diverted or stopped at Monappa Island and VV statue junction. Punjagutta-Raj Bhavan quarters road (metro residency) will be closed for general traffic on both sides during this period,” read the release.
