HYDERABAD: With just three weeks to go for Lok Sabha polls in Telangana , who is seeking a re-election from Nizamabad, is confident of a win. Kavitha spoke toon Thursday, on a range of issues. Excerpts:Absolutely, with Modiji’s graph dwindling day by day, and Rahulji not rising to the occasion, I believe regional parties have a great role to play in future. We will play a great role in coordinating with all the regional parties making sure they stick together. Usually, it is political alliances which happen, but this is a progressive alliance.Yes, and one of the points in the manifesto is no one in Nizamabad will be without a house under the 2BHK scheme. There will be more industrial growth. In the past five years, we were able to provide 12,000 jobs and will ensure more jobs are given.I think KCR is Target No. 1 for BJP. That is because KCR is looking for a change in regime at the national level. So, I was one person of interest probably...If Narendra Modi comes to campaign in Nizamabad, he has to give an assurance that it will be set up. It is a complex issue. In fact, many farmers in Nizamabad decided to go barefoot until it happens. I will give my 100% to it until it is realised. But there are other things that have been achieved, including the completion of Nizamabad-Peddapalli railway line. That absolutely was my effort. I also got Rs 500 crore in addition to my constituency for related works. In my manifesto, during the last elections, I mentioned about the railway line, turmeric board, providing drinking water to every household, for which Mission Bhagiratha came to my aid. The fourth was related to farmers. They are progressive thinking farmers, and I wanted the land under irrigation be doubled. Now we can irrigate 5.6 lakh acres. So that is almost fulfilled.I’m glad it has started somewhere despite a law not being passed by the central government. Jayalalitha had also done it. I’m glad Naveenji has also joined the process.Yes. I devote a lot of time to my constituency. I have a great role and responsibilities in the party, especially across the state in various things. And at times when no fruitful discussion is happening in Parliament, I chose to stay away and spend time with the people of my constituency and family. If you see, the number of days wasted in Parliament are 150, as no fruitful discussion took place.
