Centre holds meet on Bifurcation issues

The meeting gets significance as the centre took a step on bifurcation issues after the first phase of the polls held in the two Telugu states. Hyderabad: In a significant development, the Centre has called a meeting on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014 in Delhi. Union Cabinet special secretary Satpal Chowhan chaired the meeting and attended by officials from Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. They discussed on the bifurcation act, promises need to be kept, steps to be taken up for ensuring smooth implementation of the act in the two states. They also discussed on pending issues pertaining to the act.
