Hyderabad: around 80 trees fall in Zoo during Saturday rain; mar visitors’ fun

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, while 80 trees fell in the Zoo alone, another 73 trees fell in different parts of the city due to the rains on Saturday.
Hyderabad: Around 80 trees fell in the zoo during Saturday rain, as a result, the fun was spoiled for around 9,000 visitors who thronged the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
More than 50 years old like neem, tamarind, babul and cassia were uprooted in the thunderstorm at the Zoo Park.
They were restricted from entering the children’s corner in the zoo, as the area had a high intensity of tree fall and the tree debris is still being cleared.
According to Zoo officials, some places like the children’s areas were restricted keeping in view the safety of visitors, as the huge branches fell all over the place and labourers were still clearing the debris.
