Heavy rainfall in Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner issues advisory to residents

Hyderabad: Mr. Dana Kishore, Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) issued an advisory to the citizens of Hyderabad. GHMC Control Room received 40 complaints due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorm. Mr. Dana Kishore further told that after this forecast, Vigilance Cell of GHMC and Disaster Management Staff have been alerted and emergency staff was kept ready. He told this yesterday, keeping in view, the forecast of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm. Emergency Squad was sent to 25 places immediately to remove the hurdles caused by falling of trees and blockade of water.

While talking to newsmen, he said, “During rainfall, don’t come out of the houses unless needed and avoid taking shelter under old buildings, hoardings and trees”. He told this yesterday, keeping in view, the forecast of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm. Mr. Dana Kishore further told that after this forecast, Vigilance Cell of GHMC and Disaster Management Staff have been alerted and emergency staff was kept ready.
