Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi president Prof. Kodandaram on Wednesday urged Governor ESL Narasimhan to intervene into the issue of podu lands that rocked the State recently.
He submitted a representation on the issue to the Governor along with the Tribal Rights leader Ranga Reddy at Raj Bhavan here.
He alleged that the State government had given Pattas to some farmers over the Podu lands while ignoring others.
Ranga Reddy alleged that a war-like situation was prevailing in the villages all over the State on the issue.
He alleged clashes were taking place due to the non-implementation of the Forest Rights Protection Act.
