Not realising the gravity of the issue, the social media is fueling the fire. Several posts are making rounds on social media especially on WhatsApp, which are instilling fear among the public. It must be noted that presently NRC is limited to Assam only and no guidelines regarding its implementation in the whole of India have not been made public. Hussamuddin Sani Aqil (Jafar Pasha) Member Muslim Personal Law Board and Ameer Amaraat Millat-e-Islamia Telangana and Andhra Pradesh said that some people are trying to create fear among Muslims through social media posts.
