Viral fever: Congress demands Govt. to declare Health Emergency

A+ A-Hyderabad: Congress slammed GHMC and said that due to its negligence, Dengue, Malaria and Viral Fever cases are on the increase in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Fever Hospital, Osmania General Hospital and Gandhi Hospital are full of such patients. Congress leaders met the patients and inquired about their health. Mr. Waliullah and Mr. Nizamuddin told that this time, due to the negligence of GHMC, cases of viral fever have increased. From 1st June to 24th August, more than three lakh persons suffered from viral fever.

A+ A- Hyderabad: Congress slammed GHMC and said that due to its negligence, Dengue, Malaria and Viral Fever cases are on the increase in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Fever Hospital, Osmania General Hospital and Gandhi Hospital are full of such patients. A delegation of minority leaders of Congress led by the Chairman of its Minority Dept., Mr. Sameer Waliullah visited Fever Hospital located at Nallakunta and took stock of the facilities available for the patients. The delegation included party spokesman, Mr. Syed Nizamuddin and other leaders. Congress leaders met the patients and inquired about their health. They also distributed fruits among the patients. Some leaders extended financial assistance to the patients. Mr. Waliullah and Mr. Nizamuddin told that this time, due to the negligence of GHMC, cases of viral fever have increased. He further told that in August, 1687 Dengue cases were registered. From 1st June to 24th August, more than three lakh persons suffered from viral fever. He criticized the Govt. saying that despite this abnormal situation, KCR did not convene meeting with the officials of Health Dept. Due to lack of facilities in Govt. hospitals, patients are going to private hospitals where they are required to spend more than Rs. 30 thousand. Mr. Waliullah demanded the Govt. to declare Health Emergency.
