CAA: Kishan Reddy attempts to allay Muslims’ fear

A+ A-Hyderabad: Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs made an attempt to allay Muslims’ fear. He said that not even a single Indian Muslim will be asked to leave the country. Reacting on the stand taken by the intellectuals, students and others against NPR, Reddy said that there is nothing to fear about it. No document will be asked in NPR, Reddy added. It may be mentioned that ever since President gave assent to CAB turning it into CAA, the protests are taking place across the country.

CAA 2019 He further said that the Central Government is ready to make changes in the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 if it impacts even a single citizen of the country. Reacting on the stand taken by the intellectuals, students and others against NPR, Reddy said that there is nothing to fear about it. No document will be asked in NPR, Reddy added. Replying to the query on NRC, he said that there is no discussion about it at the government level. He further said that Amit Shah made statements about NRC as it is the party’s stand. Protests It seems that the Central Govt. has not anticipated such huge protests against CAA. It may be mentioned that ever since President gave assent to CAB turning it into CAA, the protests are taking place across the country.
