Women’s Conclave & Awards 2020 function held at HICC

A+ A-Hyderabad: She M Power, a full day Women’s Conclave and Awards 2020 function held here at HICC today. Dr Tessy Thomas, Director General of Aeronautical Systems, DRDO, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the conclave. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tessy Thomas hailed the SCSC for conceiving the conclave and conducting it for the past 33years. Sai Pallavi, film actress, said mothers should teach their boys to treat women on the street with respect and treat them as their lady family members at home. VC Sajjanar, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police and Chairman of SCSC, shared that SCSC is a unique organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tessy Thomas hailed the SCSC for conceiving the conclave and conducting it for the past 33years. Though women are 50% in the population, but, unfortunately they hold just 1% of the world’s property. Women perform far better than their male counterparts. Men and women must be equal partners both at work and home, she added. She hailed Swati Lakra, IG (Law & Order) and Incharge, Women Safety Wing, Telangana for punishing offenders, violators of the law. “We need to correct the offenders and ensure change in their behaviour and mind set,” the Space Scientist added. Sai Pallavi, film actress, said mothers should teach their boys to treat women on the street with respect and treat them as their lady family members at home. Pratyusha Sharma, SCSC joint secretary and Women’s Forum leader said the Conclave had fire side chats on interesting topics with esteemed speakers from Industry, achievers, motivators, IPS officers, media and film industry. The best practices followed on women safety were also shared by many organizsations, she added. VC Sajjanar, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police and Chairman of SCSC, shared that SCSC is a unique organization. The city has over six lakh CCTVs, Surveillance TVs for effective surveillance mechanism. DCP Anasuya and Swati Lakra also spoke.
